4 in 10 Cowley County students show signs of depression. 1 in 4 Cowley County students has made a suicide plan.

When children feel persistant sadness and hopelessness, they may be diagnosed with depression. Extreme depression can lead a child to think about suicide or plan for suicide. For youth age 10-24 years, suicide is amoung the leading causes of death.
